I treat every patient the way I would want my child treated by their pediatrician: listened to, trusted, taken seriously, all while being approached in a developmentally appropriate way. Once this foundation has been set, then we as a team can move forward with further workup or medication management or we can discuss the reasons why watchful waiting, rather than intervention, might be a better approach for your child.
